Morocco Weather Next Week (September 19-25, 2026): Weekend Showers, Then a Warm and Stable Spell

The cool-down we flagged in our September 14 pattern-change forecast has settled in, and the week ahead splits cleanly in two. Saturday and Sunday bring one last round of convective showers over the interior and the Atlas - Marrakech carries a 38% shower risk on Saturday, Ifrane peaks at 50%, and Ouarzazate hovers near 25% - before high pressure builds from Monday onward and sweeps the country into a dry, warm and remarkably stable spell through Friday September 25.

No heat wave, no cold snap: just late-September normality, with inland warmth, mild coasts and cool mountain nights.

Coast: Mild Days, Morning Fog, Zero Rain

The Atlantic façade enjoys the classic late-September routine. Casablanca and Rabat trade between 27 C and 31 C all week with no measurable rain, but watch the sky at dawn: fog banks roll in on Saturday and again midweek (Thursday especially), burning off by mid-morning. Tangier stays steady at 27-30 C before nudging up to 32 C by Friday as the flow turns more easterly. Agadir is the mildest of the eight at 24-30 C, with its own grey-fog mornings Tuesday and Wednesday.

Practical read: beach mornings may start grey south of Essaouira; afternoons are reliably pleasant everywhere.

Inland: The Warm Spell Holds

Marrakech refuses to cool. The red city posts 37 C nearly every single day of the week - only Wednesday dips to 36 C - with nights around 20-23 C. Saturday's showers, if they arrive, will be brief afternoon convection off the Atlas rather than a genuine rain event, and from Monday the sun owns the forecast again. Fes runs a touch cooler at 34-35 C early, building to 36 C by Thursday as the airmass warms from the east.

For visitors: this is beautiful touring weather - hot at midday in the medinas, perfect after 17:00.

Atlas and Middle Atlas: Last Call for Showers

Ifrane carries the headline risk of the week: a 50% chance of showers on Saturday as the residual instability fires one final convective round over the cedar plateau. Sunday improves quickly (11%), and from Monday the Middle Atlas is sunny with crisp, dry air - nights between 11 C and 16 C all week, the first genuinely autumnal overnights of the season. Pack a fleece if you are heading to Azrou or Ifrane National Park.

South: Storms Ease, Heat Rebuilds

Ouarzazate keeps a 18-25% shower chance from Saturday through Monday - the tail of the same convective episode - then dries completely. Highs rebuild steadily from 31 C to 34 C by Friday under the strengthening high, with cool 16-20 C desert nights. The Saharan provinces follow the same script: dry, warm, and increasingly sunny.
